Effective September 30, 2026; updated October 6, 2026. Homework Hatch L.L.C.
Homework Hatch stores course files and study materials privately, in the account of the student who synced or made them, for that student's own study. Students can choose to share flashcard decks and practice quizzes they made, by link or with their class; synced course files are never shared. When a set is shared, edited or hosted live, we automatically hold back cards in the AI's wording of course files and anything that copies the course materials the student synced here word for word; these checks can't catch everything, so notices are always welcome. If you believe something on Homework Hatch infringes your copyright, for example your course materials or a shared set made from them, send a notice to sphwbuddy@gmail.com that includes:
What we do: we remove or disable the identified material promptly, along with any study materials we can identify as made from it, and let the affected user know. For a shared set, that means taking it down for good, along with any live game made from it, and deleting the copies people saved from it. Signed-in users can also report a shared set from its page; sets reported for copyright are hidden at once until we review them.
Counter-notices: if your material was removed by mistake, you can send a counter-notice with the information required by 17 U.S.C. §512(g).
Repeat infringers: each upheld takedown of a shared set is a strike against the account that shared it. After three strikes an account can no longer share or host live games, and we close the accounts of repeat infringers.
Instructors: you can also ask us to remove your course materials from Homework Hatch without a formal notice. Write to the same address.
